Last updated: 23 October 20261. About these terms
These terms explain the rules for using the website operated by The Eye Clinic by Sal and Jay (“we”, “us” or “our”) and give general information about our services. By using the website, you agree to follow these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
Separate terms may apply to a particular appointment, NHS service, private service, product, order or payment. We will explain relevant service details, prices and conditions before you agree to proceed. If those specific terms differ from these website terms, the specific terms apply to that service or order. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer or other applicable law.

Our opening hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10:00–16:00, and Wednesday 10:00–13:00. We are closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
3. Our services
We provide adult and children’s eye examinations, private sight tests, NHS-funded eye-care services for eligible patients, urgent and emergency appointments, selected spectacles and sunglasses, contact lens services, dry-eye services, low vision care and domiciliary eye care. Our NHS Wales services include WGOS 1, WGOS 2, WGOS 3 and the low vision service.
NHS-funded services and optical vouchers are available only to patients who meet the relevant eligibility criteria and are provided in accordance with NHS Wales requirements. We will explain any private fees or charges before you agree to a private service or purchase.
Appointment availability may vary. An online enquiry or request is not a confirmed appointment unless we confirm it with you. We may need to contact you for further details before confirming an appointment.
4. Website information and clinical care
Website content is for general information. It does not replace an eye examination, individual clinical advice, diagnosis or treatment. We aim to keep the information accurate and current, but we cannot guarantee that every page will always be complete or up to date.
Do not use the website to report an eye emergency or delay seeking urgent care. Contact the practice by telephone for appointment-related help. For urgent symptoms outside our opening hours, seek appropriate urgent medical or eye-care assistance.
Any clinical service we provide will be based on the information available to the practitioner and their professional judgment. We will explain relevant options and next steps during your care.
5. Your responsibilities
When using the website or contacting us, you agree to:
● provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
● use the website lawfully and not try to disrupt, damage or gain unauthorised access to it or our systems; and
● not misuse the website, including by introducing malicious code or using it to send unlawful, harmful or misleading material.
If you are arranging an appointment or service for someone else, you must have the authority to do so and provide accurate information about that person.
6. Fees, orders and payments
Prices and payment arrangements will be explained before you commit to a private service or product. NHS-funded services and optical vouchers are subject to NHS Wales eligibility and programme rules. A voucher is not a cash payment to the patient.
Any product order, including prescription spectacles or contact lenses, will be based on the prescription, measurements, frame, lens options and other specifications agreed with you. Please check the order details with us before confirming. If you believe an order is incorrect or a product is faulty, contact us promptly.
Our [Refund and Returns Policy — add link] explains how we handle returns and concerns. It does not limit your statutory rights.
7. Appointments and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please contact us as soon as possible by phone or email. Any cancellation conditions or fees that apply to a particular appointment will be provided before you agree to book. We will not apply a fee that has not been disclosed and agreed where required by law.
We may need to reschedule or cancel an appointment because of unforeseen circumstances, staff availability, clinical needs or service disruption. If this happens, we will contact you using the details you provided and discuss a suitable alternative. Any refund due for a service that is not provided will be handled in accordance with your agreement and applicable law.
8. Complaints and concerns
If you are unhappy with our website, a product or a service, please contact the practice and ask to speak to Saleh Khan. We will look into your concern and respond in line with our complaints procedure. Nothing in this section affects your legal rights or any NHS Wales complaint route that may apply.
9. Privacy and cookies

12. Responsibility
We do not exclude or limit any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your statutory consumer rights and our responsibility for services to be performed with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms affects rights that you have under law.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by misuse of the website, reliance on general website information as if it were individual clinical advice, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This does not affect any responsibility we owe in relation to clinical care or a product or service under the applicable contract or law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be posted on the website with its latest update date. Changes will not remove rights that have already arisen under a contract or under law.
